Day 30 – Fit Test – Insanity The Asylum COMPLETED

My goal 30 days ago was to lose 10 pounds while doing Asylum. I didn’t succeed but I did come close and lost 8.8 pounds. I even did the fit test in a fasted state, ran a 5k and did some jump roping drills do get close to 10 pounds. But the needle stopped 1.2 pounds short of my goal. On the bright side, I lost an average of 2.2 pounds per week and improved my score in all but one exercises on the fit test. I haven’t weighed this low since Thanksgiving 2013. Bravo!

I wanted to post my naked picture to show that my struggle is real and I’m a work in progress. I am most pleased with how much my diet has improved tremendously. I believe a healthy lifestyle is 80% diet, 15% mental and 5% physical. Some days I worked out in a fasted state, drank veggie and fruit smoothies all day and maintained a 70% paleo diet. I haven’t had pizza in a month and limited myself to 5 beers the last 30 days. I never skipped a workout even though there were days that I wanted to.

I feel like my work is just starting. I will take a week off to recover before starting Asylum Volume 2 and want to drop another 10 pounds in the next 30 days.
